MICR

MICR is a font from Bitstream library. The familiar numerals from the bottom of American MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) checks, designed in 1958 for printing in magnetic ink to be read by magnetic readers and humans; they are produced in several closely related weights for light, normal or heavy inking. Most simulated 'computer' typefaces are based on this design. The Bitstream MICR fonts are designed to provide correct sizing at 18 points.
