Dynamo™

The original versions of the Dynamo typeface were released by the Ludwig & Mayer type foundry in Frankfurt/Main, which closed in 1984. Designed by K. Sommer, Dynamo was an attempt to capture the new, motorized spirit that dominated the western world during the roaring 20s. A bold, forward thrusting face, Dynamo exudes confidence, speed, and stability. It has the engineered appearance that one associates with early racecars and hot rods. Although the design is more than 70 years old, it would fit right at home in any contemporary Corporate ID solution, or magazine headline. Linotype Library is pleased to present four versions of this classic typeface: Dynamo Medium, Dynamo Bold, Dynamo Bold Shadow, and Dynamo Bold Condensed.
