Russian type designer, graphic artist, web designer, instructor. Worked for Type Department of VNII Polygraphmash (1988-1991) and for ParaGraph (1991-1998). In 1998 he set up design studio Tfaces. Tarbeev is an instructor at Moscow State University of Printing and at Higher Academic School of Graphic Design (Moscow). Main types: Betina Script, PT Bodoni, Matterhorn, Montblanc, Newton (with Vladimir Efimov), Tauern, Jakob, Cyrillic versions of Latin types: ITC Benguiat Gothic, ITC Garamond, Friz Quadrata (ITC), etc. Awarded by 2nd Prize at type contest «Shrift-89» (type Benefit). Honorary mention of jury at 3rd International contest of type design «TakeType» (2000), established by Linotype. Awarded by Diploma at type contest «bukva:raz!» (type Linotype Den Haag).
