Yury Frolov studied design and architecture at the Institute of Art and Industrial Design in Moscow (aka Strogonovka). He received his Master’s degree in Design and Environmental Graphics in 1983. Yury has over 20 years of experience in traditional and interaction design. The majority of his career has been devoted to high-profile technology and Internet clients such as IBM, Oracle, Cisco, Fujitsu, McAfee etc. He has worked with top design and entertainment companies including 1185 Design, MCA Universal Pictures and Red Square Design.
Yury was a 1991 recipient of the prestigious Krasner-Pollock Foundation Art Grant and a winner of How Magazine’s International Design Competition for 1997. In early 90s he participated in national and international group shows in Russia, Germany, France and US featuring young artists from former USSR. He also held a number of solo art shows in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA. His paintings, prints and 3-D objects are included in private collections in Europe and US.
