Original type work designed in unconventional technique by type and graphic designer Yuri Gulitov. Analog version of the font was awarded by diploma on Third International Biennale of Graphic Design “Golden Bee”.

New release - Han Zi.
The display typeface that is based on the shapes of traditional Chinese hieroglyphic characters. The font looks stylistically authentic and genuine. The typeface was designed by Aleksandra Egorova, the young type designer from St. Petersburg
New release - Shaltai.
Decorative font Shaltai was developed by young Russian designer Katya Galuyan. The letters slightly resemble rolling, falling and broken eggs. Egg-shaped appearance of the characters determines the name of the font. The font can be used for advertizing and display works, children books and so on.
New release - Kuenstler 165.
Bitstream typeface based on Koch Antiqua by Rudolph Koch (Klingspor, 1922). Koch Antiqua, also known as Locarno and Eve. Two weights of Cyrillic version including alternative lc characters were developed by Isabella Chaeva and released in 2008 by ParaType.
New release - Baltica.
The digital version in 3 weights was designed at Polygraphmash by Alexander Tarbeev in 1988. Small capitals, additional Bold, Extra Bold, and Extra Condensed styles were developed by Manvel Shmavonyan and released by ParaType in 2008.
New release - Hub.
Designed by Gennady Fridman and released by ParaType. Hub represents so called block letter handwriting style, which becomes more and more usual and nowadays replaces traditional cursive handwriting.
New release - Baker Signet.
Bitsream version of Baker Signet typeface designed by well-known calligrapher Arthur Baker in 1965 for Visual Graphic Center (VGC). Cyrillic version was developed by Evgeny Sadko and released by ParaType.
New release - Mellnik Text.
Mellnik Text is a sans serif of humanist style (in a way) that was developed by Oleg Karpinsky. For use as a text font in long text passages of advertising booklets, catalogues or magazines, as well as for accident setting.
Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI), is Holding its 52nd Annual Conference on 17-21 September 2008 in St Petersburg, Russia. This city seems to be most appropriate for this year's ATypI theme: The Old · The New.
New release - Dom.
Dom was designed by Peter Dombrezian for American Type Founders in 1951–1952. The Cyrillic version of the Bitstream digital font was developed by Dmitry Kirsanov for ParaType in 2008.
New release - Federico.
Federico is pseudo-handwriting font designed by Olga Umpeleva in 2007 and released by ParaType in 2008. The face is based on the handwriting of Federico Garcia Lorca, the eminent Spanish poet and playwright (1898-1936).
New release - Lo-Res Nine.
The Lo-Res family of fonts is a synthesis of pixelated designs, including Emigre's earlier coarse resolution fonts. It replaces the preexisting Emigre bitmap designs under one family name in the font menu.
New release - Susan Sans.
An original text and display type family was designed for ParaType in 2008 by Manvel Shmavonyan. Susan, Susan Classic and Susan Sans forms a super family coordinated on weight, style and proportions.
New release - Revival 565.
Revival 565 is the Bitstream version of type Berling. It is good for text settings as well as display work. Cyrillic version was developed for ParaType by Manvel Shmavonyan in 2008.
New release - Futura PT.
Futura PT is an uniform type system consisted of seven weights with corresponding obliques plus eight condensed styles. All these fonts are coordinated in letterforms, metrics, and weights to better working together.
New release - Susan Classic.
An original text and display type family was designed for ParaType in 2008 by Manvel Shmavonyan to be used together with Susan, earlier released sans by the same author. This is a low-contrast slabserif font with open letterforms. Its shape is distinguished by one- and two-sided rounded serifs.
New release - Textbook New.
Designed for ParaType in 2007 by Isabella Chaeva. The type is based on Bukvarnaya (TextBook) photocomposing version designed in 1987 by Emma Zakharova. It was developed for primers and the first level school textbooks.
New release - Pallada.
A decorative face of freestyle flowing letterforms, it is stylized a little under wide brush calligraphy. Its letterforms are characterized with one-side serifs. For use in book heading, advertising and display matter. The face designed by Natalya Vasilyeva
New release - Mirandolina.
A freestyle serif typeface, some details of its letterforms are modelled after flat-nib pen calligraphy. The face is designed by Natalya Vasilyeva.

A display face with rounded terminals stylized like drops of a liquid. The face is designed by Natalya Vasilyeva.
Lyubov' Kuznetsova, the senior member of the Russian type design community, designer of ParaType, passed away in Moscow on February 22 2008, after a long struggle with illness.
